Puggle Puppies

As I sit in bed feverishly with a temperature of 101.5 degrees, I am searching Google for pictures of Puggles. If you haven't heard of the trend in breeding "Designer Dogs", breeders are crossing all sorts of dogs to create a new breed. Puggles are hybrids between Beagles and Pugs, a Pug father and Beagle mother. I have always wanted a dog and we have never had one because we move so much and we rented houses where dogs were not allowed, so now that we bought our own house, my family and I have decided to buy one of these cuddly little crossbreeds. We our picking up our Puggle puppy on the 23 of February, which is so exciting. This is a picture of our puppy, and look how cute he is! But some people aren't as excited about these dogs. Some say they aren't worth the money. Some say they are high priced mongrels. OUCH!!! When you think about it, all "purebred" dogs come from each other and aren't perfect themselves. But whatever they think, LOOK AT THAT ADORABLE LITTLE GUY! We decided to get a Puggle because it was a dog we could all agree on, I had always loved them since I heard about them, my mom thinks they are adorable and she doesn't want a big dog, and my dad loves them because they are water dogs and he grew up with a beagle (whom he loved). I like Puggles, so thee is nothing they can say to convince me to not get a Puggle. The pictures in the slideshow to the right are all of him!! Hopefully I will be able to add more soon!

Good Books to Read!

  • Pride and Prejudice: If you haven't read it before, it is absolutely FABULOUS!!! I am in the middle of reading it, and it is taking me a little while to digest the language she writes in, but any JANE AUSTEN book would be an AWESOME read!!!!
  • The Raven Master's Secret: Takes place in old England around the Tower of London--It starts off a bit grim with the hanging of a "criminal" to give you a taste, but it is a really good book about two peoples' attempt to escape...won't give too much away, but it ROCKS!
  • And Then There were None: A classic Agatha Christie mystery...it follows the rhyme "Ten Little Indian Boys" but it is an amazing murder mystery...I made the mistake of reading the last paragraph (oops!) and it gave it all away, so I wouldn't recommend doing that!!!!!!
  • When It Happens: Cute little story about two high-schoolers...kinda R rated though...lol. It's good...if you believe in true love and soulmates!
  • Ophelia: It's Shakespeare's Hamlet through the eyes of Ophelia...whether you agree with it or not you have to find out...if you haven't read Hamlet, it's a good idea to do so before reading this!! But with all the little twists and turns it makes it a really interesting read.
  • Golden Compass: Of course, you have to read the whole series. It's amazing, hands down. Just read it.
  • Ladies of Liberty; the women who shaped our nation: It's a really cool book, even though it's not a narrative, it's really informational all about the women who made a big difference in the evolution of the USA.
  • The Birchbark House: A bitter-sweet tale of a tribe of a woodland Indians, based on real facts. It's such a sweet little book.
